Hi all,

I´ve trying to measure the volume of a Body in a Catpart. So far no problem: I´ve found the right function.

But I´d also like to "partially" measure its surface. That is, the Body is faceted, and I´d like to measure the total surface of only two of its faces, not all of them.

Well, any ideas (cause I haven´t got any (

Thanks in advance!)

how about joining the two faces, and then analyze the join?

It´s all right, I´ve found the/one way to do it.

In the Part design workbench, the only surface functions I found measured the total surface of the part.

BUT, if you create a Catproduct and insert the part in it, you can now use the Assembly Measure functions on the part!)

I just have to measure separately the two faces, and then create a parameter: TotalSurface= Surface1+ Surface2.

Easy, isn´t it ?)

Hi friedrich

No need to go to catproduct. In part design itself in measure item tool, check the keep measure icon so that u can continuously measure areas of surfaces.
