Hi,

Is there a way to partially shaded an assembly view in NX drafting?

I'd like to put an emphasis on certain parts of an assembly view by shading them, while the rest of the assembly parts would be hidden-line removed (or in wireframe) format -- all this in the same view.

Thanks in advance!

Start by searching the help files for 'partially shaded' and 'render sets'. You'll most likely find what you need there. Post back with any specific questions.

Yes. With the display of the 'Drawing Sheet' toggled OFF, you can edit which Components of the Assembly that you wish to see as shaded in a level by selecting the Component, pressing MB3, selecting 'Edit Display', toggling ON the 'Partial Shaded' option and then hitting OK. Once you've edited all of the Components that you wish to remain shaded in your Drawing view, you can once again display the Drawing and either add the new view you want or edit one of the existing ones by selecting the view, pressing MB3 and selecting 'Style. Now in the Tab labeled 'Shading' under Rendering Style, select the 'Partially Shaded' option and then hit Apply. You may now wish to go to the Tab labeled 'Hidden Lines' and change the display of the edges of the model in the drawing. At this point, as mentioned by cowski, you will probably need to leverage what Render Sets can do for you in terms of exactly how and what components you want to participate in the Hidden Line Removal operation.
