partslist question

I have an existing partslist from my assembly.
Now I add parts to the assy and remove parts from the base assy. How can I prevent renumbering existing partslist items?

Lock the items in the parts list.

lock will lock new items...

... still could not get it work.
try options but the complet subassembley removed get marked,(oK) but the callout number from the removed subassy were used renumbering existing from another subassy.
