Hi,
have you present the hole command that produce more holes from a sketch that has more points inside ?

I would like to pattern an hexagon cutout from a sketch that has more points inside.

Have you a solution without using UDF ?

Thank you...

Hi hudson888,
thank you for your solution, but I thought something better.
Sincerely....NX7 lack in many command that other CAD have from many years.
I'm talking for who design automatic machine.

Regards...

John,
because I can't set...an error occur.
Because I'm under TC and I need to ask to our CAD Manager to set it, and I don't know if he knows how to do.
Because I need to manipulate the UDF file to generate the correct structure, the english and metric structure does not suit us.
It's not so simple to configure and specially under TC.
Have you some documents to help to configure locally and under TC8 ?

To be perfectly honest I produced something very similar to your example and even went one step further. What more do you want?

Best Regards

Hi hudson888,
In the image attached before, in one operation with other CAD I perform my needing.
I attach the image of your solution.
Do you think that I produce this type of object ?
If I need to use your solution for 20 hexagon cut, I produce 20x3=60 row in the part navigator, only for this, and if I add other features, I produce an infinite sructure of features.
I know that NX7.5 has, but don't see.
Nobody NX users had need this pattern before NX7.5 ?

Anyway...thank you for your patience...but I'm a designer and for me the CAD must be an extension of my inventive...not only a tool....and this lack or workaround stop me.

Regards...
