Greetings:

When I Pattern Geometry, say for example, I want 4, I include the item I'm selecting to pattern, I get (3) new bodies. We have a different seat in our office that when they Pattern Geometry and choose a quantity of 4, they get the (3) bodies, but they also get a 2nd copy of the original body in its place. Is this a software flaw or a setting that they are not selecting/deselecting?

Thanks,

Brent

Different NX versions ? Different Feature-types ?
The Old Pattern feature counted different than the current.
Note that the pattern feature copies what you select - It's a bad choice to do a rectangle selection when using that feature, - note the count of selected objects, it will select Edges, faces, bodies etc.

Regards,
Tomas

A Pattern Geometry will only include the copies and not the original object (and it does not make a copy of the original bodies). At least from NX 11 this is the standard behavior.

If you would like to use all bodies for some new feature (so the 1 original, and 3 patterned copies, in total 4), one easy way is to put them in a feature group (see picture) and use the feature group as the input of your subsequent steps.
