I have a PC running Windows 7. It has a PCI graphics card with both a VGA port and a HDMI port.
When I switch the PC on if both cables are plugged in I see no screen activity, if I subsequently try either cable the PC doesn't appear to have successfully booted although it is on.
The only was I can get the HD I want is via the following procedure:
1. Connect VGA only
2. Boot up & login.
3. Plug in HDMI cable
4. Unplug VGA Cable.
I've tried the above in varying order etc, this is the best result but I obviously don't want to keep hot swapping the cables. Plus the PC will be in a slightly awkward spot to reach once running how I want it.
