We use PDM Enterprise and I notice that when I open an assembly it tells me it can't find some parts and would I like to find on my own. If I say yes it opens the window in the folder of the part and all I have to do is say OK and it opens. It seems to know where it is but doesnt open it. Anybody have this issue I heard it might be a bug and not resolved til 2010 version.

make sure that "select all references" is checked under pdm options, command defaults before you open the assem.

If you RMC on the part and go to component properties,
This will tell you the path of the part
