Guru's,
I have always had some difficulty getting the temp view files on a multiple sheet .slddrw
to show up proplerly in the PDMWorks viewer. Most times there is an issue with a section view or detail view not showing up. Recently I discovered that my temp view files were not updating. The following describes the event:

1. first check in of drawing.
a. right click on the newly saved file in pdmworks vault view and click "document properties".
b. Notice that a view is missing.

2. Attempt to repair the drawing view by:
a. flipping the line of sight arrows back and forth (or other tricks/workarounds).
b. check the file in (as I thought it would show properly)

3. repeat step 1a...repeat step 1b-cuss.

Can any of you please direct me to a work around or a fix for this problem?
Is there any way to force a temp view file save?
Is there a discreet button that I've forgotten to check.

I'm not clear. What do you mean by "temp view files"?

it is the view that you see when you right click the drawing in the vault view, then select "document information", then click on the view tab. Since you are using 2007 I don't think you will see this, but I don't know...haven't used 2007 yet.

We had major problems with the temp file not being what we checked in (2006). We worked for months with our VAR trying to fix this. They never got it working to our satisfaction. Our work around is to make PDF's and don't trust anything we see until we pull it out of the vault. I still check it against the pdf to make sure.

Tom,
I agree. Pdf's are the best way. I still am waiting to see if this works better with 07. Our company just got swallowed into a larger corporation and we are behind with the 07 install. I was assured by my var that this was fixed in a further sp than what I use. (V6, sp5 or something). Glad to find out that somebody else has tried to whip the old mule into shape along side...Sorry to hear that such a powerful tool lacks in delivery at your company as well. Was a serious problem for us. Sure hope it is fixed.

If I understand your view problem, we still have the same issue. My workaround is to use SolidWorks explorer always. I click on a drawing or part in the vault, SolidWorks explorer shows me a view of that part.
