Good afternoon, I am not sure this can be done in SW, but here goes. I have a hose, which is inside of a armorguard tube, which is basically a ahose within a hose, so to speak. In the drawing I would like to be able to peal back the armorguard a short ways to expose the inner hose for dimensioning. I can do breaks and that, but this kind of escapes me on how to do it. Any suggestion wouold be greatly appreciated.

Can you create a config with a short cut-extrude to remove the outer layer?

Just use a break-away section view. You can specify the depth of the cut. You may have to get creative on how you do it with it being a cylinder.

Basically you select Broken-out Section view. It then will let you draw your spline. Once you draw that you can then select an edge to section down to or set your depth of cut. Either way should give you what you want. Sorry for the 3 posts to get this across.

Thanks for all of the replies. The Broken-out SectionView looks pretty good once you figure out how it works.
