Hello Forumers,
I would like to seek for advice regarding my project in school.
Let me just introduce my project: Body Heat (or some other source of Heat energy) Charger for Phones.
Basically I'm using the inefficient Peltier tiles for this project, and I would like to ask what to do to improve the efficiency of the Peltier tiles. That's my first question.
My second question is, Peltier tiles provide very little voltage and sometimes not detect body heat. If I use an alternating source of electricity, eg: Solar Panel, can I get it to work if I connect the Solar Panel + 4 Peltier tiles (still body heat if possible)? The Solar Panel is rated at 5V 1,1W 0-220mA. The Peltier tile I'm using is the TEC1 12706. The voltage regulator is rated at 5V 600mA (fixed) or Step Up Boost USB 2-24V to 5-28V 2A (at max). Can this thing work if I connect the Panel + 4 Tiles together with the regulator to charge a phone?
My third question is, is it possible to implement fast charging (at least 2A) with my setup given, or either just the Peltier tiles/Solar Panel? And is there a module that could convert whatever voltage and current gained from the setup above to 5V 2A?
Let me just explain my setup again because probably you'll not understand. It is basically just 4 Peltier Tiles connected to each other and also a voltage regulator. Since that will probably not work because body heat sometimes don't even produce a voltage so I'm planning to add a Solar Panel into my project. But if that all does not work, I'll probably switch my project from body heat
to something like Hot Coffee/Hot Drink/fire/some other heat sources. Please let me know as soon as possible because I need to get this project started. Sorry for the broken English, and thank you for reading. Have a great day!
