Hello

I would like to simulate under ANSYS stretching along an axis of a hollow sphere. For that, I modele a sphere and inside I glue two small balls on each side. I impose only a displacement along x for balls, one in one direction and the other in the other direction. My problem is that the balls pass through the sphere as if it did not exist!
How to solve problem?

Thank you

They don't 'exist' unless you tell Ansys they exist.

Look up Contact Analysis. Read the help files, then read them through again, and again. Don't start any analysis until you have read and understand the manual.

More detail of your problem may help.

Thank you for the advice.

I read the help file for contact, but what kind of contact to apply?

I removed the penetration but my problem is still present. Elements inside sphere passes through the sphere.
I should not return the correct values.
What are the parameters to change in contact manager to avoid the penetration?

This is, unfortunately for you, not an answer that you are going to get "for free" on a forum. Either get the good folks at ANSYS support to assist you, or pay someone who knows ANSYS to help you.

You have already been given the best free advice.

I would add to that, run through the example/sample problems provided. They will assist you in gaining insight into the issue. This is NOT a trivial issue, and the solutions can be exceedingly complex, because the physics are complex.

Not much of an ansys specialist, but try them all.
Or try two of them. I once had the same problem. Afterall the problem was not in the contact but in the units.
