Hi All,
Historically, we have not been modelling big perforated plates in detail because of computer resources.
With modern CPU & GPU performance that is no longer an issue and for CFD reasons we would like to include all perforated holes in 3D.
An example flat plate with ~5000 holes results ( using pattern feature) in a 400MB filesize, while the same model in catia is about 15MB. ( We use both NX & Catia depending on customer requirements)
Does anyone know if this a setting-related issue? if so which setting could reduce the filesize?
thanks
Ronny
