Perforated ring sparger

I need some help locating how to design a ring air sparger (perforated pipe). I have already looked at Perry's but need sometning a little more in depth including pressure drops over the individual orifices, velocities through the orfices, optimum holes etc.

A good book or refence would be nice.
Any help would be appreciated

or most any Chem Engineering book should have orifice equations. Better yet, run web search and I have found free software for orifice calculations (sorry, don't remember sites off top of my head).

Without getting too complicated, just make the ring header as large as possible so velocity inside it, and therefore the pressure drop, is very low compared to the orifices. That way, you should get fairly even flow through all holes. What you don't want is significant pressure drop through ring header such that holes near feed source would require smaller diameter than holes furthest from inlet.
