i am trying to model crack propagation in ABAQUS using the crack length vs time parameter and COD.
However i dont know how to enter this into ABAQUS. the manual states the following:
Set TYPE=CRACK LENGTH to specify the crack length as a function of time. This setting is available only in Abaqus/Standard.
OR
If TYPE=COD, set this parameter equal to the distance behind the crack tip along the slave surface at which the crack opening displacement is measured
The same goes for the DEBOND function.
But where do i actually input this in the ABAQUS user interface?
or can it only be done via manually entering the codes? if so, what syntax do i enter?
basically the user manual and examples are pretty unclear on the command functions and i need help urgently to understand how to complete this model.
