at first in draft/design study we do not mate components.
example:I have small assembley with two steels fixed with screws taken from the plmworld metric fasteners libary.
Question: what is the quickest way to create hole and / hole with thread in the two steels. I want to retain parameters across the assy.
Problems so far : wave and thread don't work
Assembley cut would be my favorite but hole and threads are only in assy context.
Are there some workarounds to speed up this design process ?

Wait for NX 5.0.3.x as this release will add one more option to the new AHF (Advanced Hole Feature) introduced in NX 5.0.2.2, and that is what we call a 'Hole Series' which you will be able to specify while in the context of an assembly and which will automatically add 'WAVE link' holes to all of the components that a fastener hole passes through including being able to define a thread with the last hole in the 'stake'. Note that these hole features, despite being created while in the context of the assembly, will be added to the master model of each component as if you had done the WAVE linking yourself.
