We are implementing MOST for labor standards and developing our PF&D allowance. We have used several different numbers in past systems (at other companies) and even several different numbers here.
Does anyone have a well documented and detailed, quantitative analysis of the composition of the allowance.
If so, we could use a copy to adapt to our operation. Thanks....jmk

I use MOST for many of my production rates, in addition to Time Study methodology.
For P,F,& D formulation, I have found the book, "Motion and Time Study," by Benjamin Niebel, to be valuable.

Pages 398 -403 give good information for determining P,F & D standards. It includes a chart showing survey results for the different allowance portions, broken out by type of operation or machine.

Dear JMK,

As gweaver mentioned it is a good ref. for PF&D. I will send you a format I have used in industry that I developed, approved and implemented in a DoD "industry". Please feel free to review and discuss the contents. I would like to attach an excel file to this, but I am not sure at this time.

Thanks,

MMokri
