Phoney LinkedIn site

I just got dudded by a phoney LinkedIn website that hacked my Yahoo email account. I guess everyone in my address book (432 people), got a message that I was in front of desk clerk in Spain with the end of my trousers hanging out and needing 1450 pounds to pay the bill.

Beware folks the social networks are a prime candidate for pretending to be the real thing.

I found out that the hackers had got into my email account and set a forwarding email address very similar to mine. An extra "i" had been inserted. I dont know how they got past the password though? If they can then Yahoo have a serious problem.

Facebook is having another attack. This time they are offering you a free i pad or some such, if you will just "click the link".
Don't.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It's pretty easy to cheat a greedy person so I'm guessing they are working on the "percentages".
