Hello
I run an anaerobic treatment for some of my pulp mill effluents (Paques IC reactors). The problem we have is that the biomass does not seem to assimilate the phosphorous. Our bugs are always low in phos content. The plant operates not too bad but we also have difficulties to grow sludge and need to buy now and then. all our other parameters are in specs except the phos content and we over dose with phosphoric acid and we even have high residuals of O-PO4 at the discharge. The phos content in the biomass is much lower ( 6-7000 mg/kg VSS) than what our consultant suggests (12000 mg/kg VSS).
Any thought on thos or we are looking at the wrong thing.
Regards
