Hello !

I'm facing an issue. I want to disperse photoactive nano-particle in a polymer matrix, but this latter is degradated by UV ? Does someone can help me finding a solution ?

Regards,

Hook

What polymer are you referring to ?
I would try to stabilize the polymer, but I don't know
if for your application, this is suitable.

I assume you are trying to disperse TiO2 which is well known to degrade organics when UV light is present. Such materials are used to make self-cleaning surfaces. All TiO2 suppliers have grades that are coated in alumino silicate so that the TiO2 does not touch the polymer and can't attack it. In fact nearly all TiO2 is coated. For a special TiO2 that is not photoactive and doesn't attack organics see (look for Optisol).

There is not any memory with less satisfaction than the memory of some temptation we resisted.
