I'm looking for information into a pipe penetration of a corrugated metal pipe. I have a CMP pipe that is a 15" diameter slotted drain pipe. There are several downspouts coming off of an existing building that the owner would like to run underground with and tie into the CMP pipe. I would basically be using 4" diameter Sch. 40 PVC pipe to run from the above ground downspout to tie into the CMP. Is there any type of rubber seal or standard pipe penetration seal that can be used to tie the 4" PVC pipe into the 15" CMP culvert? I realize that it would be ideal to install a manhole or drop inlet but for this particular project, that is not feasible. Any suggestions?

Sorry I do not know of any prefab connections. You can use a cement grout or something. Have you consulted with a CMP manufacturer as to the availability of prefab tees?

You could use ram-neck, the bitumunous material that is used to seal manhole rings. It is fairly pliable and could be formed to seal the void.

If the 15-inch is slotted already, why are you worried about a tight seal?

There is a product called Inserta Tee that I have used to tie downspouts and laterals into storm mains, though not with CMP.
The website says that they have a PVC to CMP connection.

coloeng,

The trench drain is a 15" CMP with a riser and slotted grate on top. Both the 15" CMP and 4" PVC will be buried beneath a concrete parking area. I would like to have a watertight seal to eliminate the possibility of any voids forming beneath the concrete.

jgailla,

It looks like you hit the nail on the head. Thanks for the link.

Again, I appreciate all of the comments and help guys.
