I am looking for the pressure rating for ASTM C-76 pipe and joints. Does anyone know a good reference? Also, for box culvert joints. What is typically the maximum pressure head that can be tolerated? I know that ASTM 361 is appropriate for low pressure head but I am analyzing an existing system.

Thanks

We have used 15 feet of head above the crown of the pipe as a reasonable maximum for storm drain pipe. This is for rubber gasket joint RCP or for cast in place concrete pipe (un-reinforced). I am sure this could also be used for a standard box culvert.

Anything more than that and pressure pipe should be used.
