I am a structural design engineer.
I was going through the posts when I was searching an article by Dr Char on Pipe rack design.
and under TLHS's (Structural) I found your lucid and excellent tip as to how to approach the pipe rack design process. You are doing an excellent selfless service to our freternity. Wonderful sir accept my sincere appreciation from the bottom of my heart.

I also had this three part article from the March 1979 'Hydrocarbon Processing' by Dr. Channagiri V. Char on the design of pipe racks. I have lost it somewhere.

I noted that you have the above article with you. This was given to me by my good friend earlier when I was designing the pipe racks as Graduate Engineer Trainee. I consider this article as one of the fundamental work on pipe rack design and would be delighted to have the same in by Design data reference, I will be grateful if you can share it with me.
