I am looking for a pipe support that will support piping coming through a metal grating floor. The support must attach to the pipe and the floor. Ideally the support will be flange like so that it covers the hole in the grating. I have heard of supports like this called split flanges but cannot find anything for this purpose. Can anyone recommend a product. My pipe size is 1/2" to 2".

Thank you

cldebellis,
You did not say what kind of facility you are working in so I cannot be real specific.

Normally in the kind of plants I have been involved in (Refinery and Chemical Plants) the Grating must be removable for maintenance access to what ever is below the grating.

Supporting vertical pipes in these cases is done by adding some channel members on both sides of the pipes then fit split grating with cut outs around the pipes. The pipes are supported with riser clamps resting on the channels.

prognosis: Lead or Lag

Pennpiprer,

This is like a chemical plant. Your approach has some ideas I can use. The piping under the floor runs horizontally therefore I can use the under floor pipe support channels. I may not need additional support after it comes through the floor.

Thank You
