I want to add NPT pipe thread definitions to my standards in V5R18. I have tried to add UNC and UNF.txt's in my standards with no luck.

I have copied this in notepad and put it in my standards. When I try to apply the NPT definitions to a threaded hole it shows nothing in the thread description. Is there a certain way the .txt needs to be wrote out? Is it a problem that units are set to mm? I believe that it would auto change from inch to mm but I'm not sure.

I just copied from catblog...see also the picture.

Place text files in the folder bearing the similar structure to the one shown: For that, I suggest you to copy the text in Excel and save as txt files (tab delimited) in order to have tab spaces between columns in the text files.

C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B14\intel_a\reffiles\standard where the "B14" corresponds to your installed vesion. (B13 for R13, B15 for R15, etc...)

You will then be able to select the standard from the thread command.

Check also for other international thread standards

Fernando
