Pipeline and Piping - Internal Coating Standards

Does anyone know of a good, concise, standard for specifying the preparation of welds, type of welding for internally inaccessible locations, pipe access requirements, etc. which would be usefull to a field and/or shop contractor? I'm not looking for a pipe coating application standard but for a pipe fabrication standard that would allow for a subsequent successfull interal coating application.

I hope some of these will get you to where you need to be, design-wise.

I do not think you have do anything special welding wise for subsequent internal coating of the weld area.

In the oil and gas industry, we usually get the pipe from the mill with external and internal coating as applicable. Then, internal coating is usually done by a speciality contractor.

For example, internal coating with FBE will require induction heat applied externally and an internal machine to spray the joint.
