hi,
I need some help with the patch command, it tells me:
Tool sheet edges are not close to target body or do not form a closed loop
how can I find the problem edges, or a loverly WorkAround.
File attached (NX7.5)
thanks
regards

Not sure quite what you were looking for, but you can roll this back and work through what I have done and see if it suits. :)

Best regards

thx simon,
this way (WA) I knew, I want to understand the way the patch body function works to get more control over this feature why, when it doesn't work - get the trouble edges.
reagards...

The way 'Patch' works and why it's required that all of the edges of the Patch actually lie on the surface (within tolerance) of the model being modified, is that in essence the system uses the edges of the 'patch' to subdivide the face and then it does a replace face swapping the newly created subdivided-face with the faces of the 'patch'.
