Hello,

I am looking for how to place an image into UG NX for sketch tracing. If there is any way to do that?

Thanks
Ton

I believe you need a Shape Studio license to do that. (View -> Visualization -> Raster Image)

You should also be able to import the image as a jpeg into a new part while in the Drafting Application and create your sketch in drafting.

After doing so you can export the drawings sketch into modeling mode and use it there. You will not need a Shape studio License if you do it this way.

I don't think you need a shape studio license....though maybe a visualize license or whatever its called.

try View/Visualization/Raster image

You have to convert the jpeg to a tif file though.

UG NX2.02.2 on Win2000 SP3
SolidWorks 2006 SP5.0 on WinXP SP2

Actually you WILL need a Visualize license if you use the View/Visualization/Raster image... option.
