Hi,
I am looking for a graph or chart of information regarding temper toughness of plain carbon steels. I have found a graph showing the type of information I am seeking, but this one is for 4140 -
The graph has Izod or Charpy on one axis, and tempering temperature on the other.
I am looking for an identical graph for medium carbon steel like 1055 or EN9 (or 1045 or 1060). Ideally I would like to also find graphs for low carbon 1020 and high carbon 1095 so I can do a comparison to see the effect of carbon change on temper toughness.
Does anyone know of a web page or a book, or perhaps a materials testing organisation that I could write to, to find this information.
Thanks,
Matt Donoghue.
