Hey i have tried running a job with plastic material properties.
youngs modulus 2x10^5Mpa and poisson ratio 0.3.

yield strength plastic strain
190.7 0
234 2.24E-08
280 4.51E-08
356 8.9E-08
416.2 1.31E-07

i have increased the step time to 1000 but still keep getting error message; 'strain increment has exceeded fifty times the strain to cause first yield.

Try running it as an elastic analysis to see where the highest stresses are. It may be due to a very high stress due to point restraints or loads, or it could be that you've just applied too high a load.

Check your plastic strain values, they seem extremely low. The elastic strain at yield is on the order of 0.001 for your material, while your plastic strain is only up to 1E-7; this doesn't make sense. Generally, the plastic strain should be significantly higher.
