Plate deflection and stress formula

I am looking for a formula to determine max deflection and stress of a plate (round or square) that is simply supported in the center (round support) and a uniform load over the whole surface. Can anyone point me to a good example?

For a circular plate you can obtain a solution by superimposing, on a simply supported plate, a uniform load and a point load of opposite direction and same resultant.
For a square plate the same can be done, but you need the solution for a plate supported at the corners only, that you can find here and here.

Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain would work as well for just about any situation, adding to my collection.

That web page assumes a ring support (NOT a simple single support at the center of a round plate as in your original statement).
After entering a round 10 unit diameter plate with a 2 mm thickness, it told me the edges of the plate deflected more than the original plate thickness under a 100 load.

Not sure I'd trust it.
