There are 2 weldments a) Box Tube join to a Flat Plate such as Fig 4.29 of AWS D1.1 and b) Joining 2 Box Tube together such as Figure 4.8

I have a existing WPS that uses Plate for qualification test. Assumming that all thickness to be .25in and position to be 1G and 2G. Do I still need new WPS for a) and b)? Is my existing WPS good enough?

You need to qualify a new WPS. Box tubing WPS qualification requires qualification to tubular connections the macro-etch samples and such as listed in AWS D1.1 if a T-Y-K connection is involved. Also is the joint CJP or PJP in production and in what configuration. It could be a T-Y-K connection if the box tubing is joined at any angle other than a butt joint.

With more information, I am glad to help.
