Please explain that,
As per ASME Sec IX, QW-200.4 when using multiple process in single PQR, the test coupon has thickness atleast 13 thk. Is it correct or not?

Hello, qw 200.4 (b) for the combination of PQR, the code indicates that you can use a process in a test coupon (PQR) of "at least 13 mm" with the benefit of using it to cover said process at the root to qualify any thickness of base metal (no thickness limits) avoiding table qw 451.1. The welded metal deposited with this process qualifies according to table qw 451.1 (2t as applicable).
This benefit only applies to the root.

Hello, for the combination of PQRs, if a coupon used in the PQR is at least 13 mm, a WPS can be supported using that PQR for the root without limits of base metal thickness (only applies to the root, it is not necessary that said coupon this soldier 100% with the same process).

Dear RVinothkumar,

In Simple words ,

PQR A qualfies with SMAW +SAW process with thickness 40 mm without PWHT
PQR B qualifies with GTAW +SMAW process with thickness 14mm without PWHT

You have production weld Manway Nozzle with thickness 32 mm , you select processes GTAW+SMAW+SAW so in this case you will prepare WPS by combining above two PQR's A & B (Base metal thickness qualification with out impact will be 5mm to 200mm) with out PWHT and you will instruct in WPS the following of deposit as shown below;

GTAW will be use for root and hot pass
SMAW will be use for filling
SAW will use filling and capping.

So to combine PQR's one PQR for root deposit shall be 13mm thickness atleast.
