Hi to all.I'm modeling soil consolidation by Abaqus. I want to define impermeable and permeable boundary conditions in my model (for example to define bed rock as an impermeable boundary condition in the end layer of my soils). How can I define this type of boundary conditions?I will appereciate for your help

Poroelastic (soils) parts will be impermeable on the surfaces by default, if nothing is applied or interacting with them.

You can make them permeable by applying a pore pressure (0 pore = free draining) or a couple variations of fluid flow, some of which aren't available in CAE. Look for the *Flow and *Dflow keywords in the manual to get a start. You can define a seepage coefficient (basically, a surface permeability constant) through these options.
