Plenum size vs horsepower vs throttle response

On a n/a fuel injected engine, are there any general rules for plenum size vs displacement? Some say the plenum should be at least equal displacement. Others say 2x displacement or more is better. I'm looking to optimize power between 4000-6200rpm.

Any good rules concerning plenum size vs throttle body size?

Larger plenums are said to increase high rpm power.. but there must be a limit.

I've read that poorer throttle response is/can be a result of increasing plenum size...

I remember a starting point is the volume of the plenum and one port to the intake valve should equal the displacement of one cylinder.

Engineering is the art of not constructing...of doing that well with one dollar what any bungler can do well with two after a fashion.
