Good day,
I am currently working in a design of a plenum chamber. I am new in this topic, I would like to see your recommendations of the followings doubts that I have:
1.-This Plenum tank will have 3 outlets and 1 inlet, to calculate its stresses, can I consider it as a thin pressure vessel? I am asking this because it wont hold any gas, its purpose is just to equalize pressure in all the outlets.
2.- I want to minimize radial deformation as much as possible, what kind of elements are recommended to achieve this? (Ribs, rings, etc). And how can I obtain the radial growth?
This plenum tank will be running hot air at high pressure (above 250 psig at 1000F), if you have any other suggestion it is welcome.
Thanks in advance!
