Hi,

NX newbie here. I read some posts about environment variables that need to be set for 64 bit systems... I'm not sure if they apply to my situation.

I just added my printer via nxplotadmin.exe. I noticed that the printer did not appear in the drop-down menu at the plot screen, so I restarted NX.

When I clicked "plot", I was presented with the following two sequential errors:
(1) Environment Error - cannot create home directory [OK]
(2) Enter Drafting Application - Error recovery completed for the following error: SDI Environment not set up [OK]

Prior to this problem, I was attempting to plot to TIFF etc; and those jobs never left the queue. My symptoms seem to be identical to those experienced by 64 bit users, but I am certain that my system is 32 bit.

Please help! Thank you!

do the same thing again so you get the errors, then post the nx log file (Help -> NX log file).

I was unable to reproduce the errors in a new NX session.

Currently, my printer is listed in nxplotadmin, but does not appear as an option under 'Plot.'

First things first, I'd like to be able to print via TIFF, JPEG, etc. My print jobs never leave the queue.

Log file attached. Thank you!

To experiment, I tried the fixes prescribed for 64-bit Windows7 users. They solved the problem. Perhaps the FAQ thread should be edited to include 32-bit systems as well.

Thank you.
