Plot Stamp Microstation V8

Hey there,

I'm an experienced AutoCAD Draftsman but am just learning Microstation.

I can't get some files we received to plot out to proper scale. 101.127 is the best it will do. I was thinking if I could get the Plot stamp (this is what AutoCAD calls it, the filepath/date/.etc) off, it may make it.

So please help ASAP, how can I turn it off?

On your plot options button, turn off the Plot Border. This should eliminate the Path/Date stamp. If not, let me know and I will tell you how to do it from the .plt file. If you're looking for 100 scale and eliminating the stamp doesn't work you can also check and see if you paper size is smaller than the plotter will take. Expanding this a little can help.

Well turned off the plot border, and it didn't help. Got rid of the stamp but no 100 scale. I think you might be right about the paper size. I tried tricking it and set it to plot on 11.7x17.7 while using 11x17 paper. It previewed and went to plotting it at the desired 100 scale but it wouldn't fit it on the paper.

How can I change the paper extens for the plotter? Can I?Is that what I need to try? Its HP laserjet 5000 if that matters.

Your paper extents are pre-set @ the printer.
You need to play with it there ...

Your should have your border sheet as a cell. You should have 2 borders. 1 on the outside for the trimming process and 1 on the inside for drawing inside. Usually .5" arouund and 1" on the left. Have the text inside the outside border.
When plotting, use fence and snap to the outside border.
