I have autocad 2006 Lt and Im wondering if their are any simplified way of plotting land contour level lines from a grid of RLs (reduced Levels). Ive done it before by manual interpolation, joining the points and converting lines to a spline. It works well but its alot of work so Im wondering if their are simpler methods ??

Thanks

Thanks !

Looks like a great little program.

To enter your data you save an autocad file in DXF and inport to sitetopo right?

Cheers!

Dont use spline, use Polyline then Pedit>Fit to smooth out the polyline. Spline is a regression curve, therefore the line will not hit all the points as it averages out the distance between points. Polyline will hit all points even when you invoke the Fit option.

Thanks chicopee

I use polyline to smooth the contours.

But this little program is quite useful. Any other programs like this around ??

Cheers!
