Plotting - Polylines Close by themselves, Letter E closes with line on right

Has anyone seen this or have a solution? When I plot some open polylines close themselves in the plot. Also the letter E adds a line to the right to close the E.

are you plotting to pdf? If so try the dwg2pdf that comes with autocad

How much of a gap do you have between the ends of each polyline? Also is LISP included in this drawing?
