PLS-CADD & File Size

Hi,

I am working on a very large project file. I am exploring the different ways to reduce file size such as deleting points, filtering points etc. That's not what I'm wondering about. The 97% CPU usage (Sp?) memory warning I get specifically suggests, "Deactivating points and hiding attachments". When I try these methods it makes absolutely no difference to the file size. So why is it being suggested? What am I misunderstanding here?

Deactivating points and hiding attachments reduces processor (CPU) requirements but doesn't change the file size. The points and attachments are still in the file.

Right, even without these items activated I still get the same warnings about CPU usage. Must not be enough to make a difference to the requirements. Thank you.

instead of deactivating, delete the filtered points. You can always save these points in separate file, if you think you would need them later.
