Chute blocks are very effective, but if you are referring to an amusement ride, the customers will complain about sore rear ends.

Perhaps you can explain what you consider to be a plunge pool as different languages have different definitions for plunge pool.

is that looking downstream at the spillway chute? how are you getting such high velocity?

what is the flow rate for the IDF? Have you considered a RCC stepped structure?
