I have a request for a pneumatic driver on a fuel transfer pump. The composition of the gas is what is throwing me: 67% methane, 17% CO2, 2% H2O and trace amounts of other hydrocarbons. I originally thought of an air motor type device but can't seem to find anything compatible with HC's that isn't an IC engine.

Does anyone know of a device which I can utilize the natural gas to drive a pump at 1200 rpm requiring less than 5hp similar to an air motor?

Anything leads or ideas would be appreciated greatly.

Ask for a 'gas starter'. It has an exhaust port with a pipe thread that you plumb to a flare or a stack. Our customers buy generators powered by natural gas, which they get for free. Low pressure for fuel, higher pressure to start the engine.
