I am trying to put a put in the middle of a line that won't let me choose midpoint, is there a way to put it in by percentage of line length?

Are you sure the mid snap point is enabled? Straight lines, like edges, associative and non associative lines all accept mid point snap.

This line is a weird revolve spline or something, not sure I didn't model it, but I figured it out, when I insert a line the U parameter is percentage, so just typed in .5 and voila.

You can also use a point set to do a similar thing.

click insert --> datum/point --> point set

pick Curve Points from the drop down

select the curve

enter 1 for the number of points

enter 50 for the start percentage

enter 50 for the end percentage

this will then put you a point on the curve in the middle (50%)

Best regards
