Hi, I have a surface and normal to surface. Now I want to put along this normal one of axis of coordinates system (not origin). Then I want have other 2 axis of coordinates system. At the end i would be great express how axis of this coordinate system are relativly to origin.(that they are for example the same direction and arrow (1,1,1) or another...) If You have soame sugestion please help me. I will be grateful for Yours help and answers.

I can't follow your question. Can you please be more clear or show a pic? thanks

Coordinate Systems in SOlidWorks are not good for much. You can not build geometry from them the way you can in Pro/E (at least as of SW2005).

I like to use 3D sketches to define coordinate systems: first I define in a 3D sketch lines for X-Y-Z then add CSYS over the sketch. That way I can use the 3D sketch for references for other features.

picia ... If I am interpreting your post correctly, you have a part which has two surface bodies perpendicular to each other and you want to add a co-ordinate system to each surface. From here on I do not understand what you are wanting to do.

Are the surfaces created with a sketch?
Is it a 2D or 3D sketch?
Can you use the sketch geometry to determine the relationship to the origin?

If you can explain what you are trying to achieve, we may be able to help more.

So, part have many surface. I have a program which give me data about center of selected surface and normal to this surface. When we have a normal axis we can build some coordinate system based on this normal selected surface. Now we have this coordinate system build on normal axis. Now I wish to now how this coordinate system is against to origin (for example that the X axis of coordinate system have the same direction what X axis of origin or no, or express mathematicaly; the same for Y and Z)...
If my coordinate system have the same direction and arrow what origin the information willbe:
(1,1,1) if not
(0,0,0)
if another then in brackets willbe some mathematical expression...
how I can obtain this...?
