Hello,
I am new to this forum so thanks in advance for your help.
I need to manufacture a ball/socket joint for an orthopaedic implants. Wear is my critical issue so I am researching polishing techniques.
Based on literature research, I need to achieve a surface finish of 2 and diametral clearances of about .001". I also need to maintain sphericity to about .0004". My material of choice is CoCr alloy (Carpenter Biodur CCM Plus).
Can anyone tell me how to achieve these specifications or point me to the right resources?
