Hi Guys
I am looking into this typical joint of pool construction.
I've studied and read many concrete corner joints of frames and retaining walls, and I am always wondering why this joint is considered an industry standard in pool construction.
It feels short and would at least need a second row of bars further towards the soil face to prevent splitting.
What are your thoughts? A strut and tie explanation would be greatly appreciated!
