we've designed a cylinder that has a position sensor on the extend side. the sensor uses a magnetic field to engage the switch. we tested the cylinder and got some screwy results. after some extensive analysis, we finally realized, our rod is stainless steel. Oops. my question is, does anyone know if there are position sensors that are combatible with stainless steel? Thanks ahead of time.

For whole aluminium cylinders with al.piston, magnetized inserted strip as part of piston construction is used.
