Post Processor Limits C-axis Rotation

Hello,

I am having problems with a 5-axis milling post processor in NX.

I have written a 5-axis milling tape that requires continual rotation of the C-axis on the machine to maintain cutter contact with the part. However, the post processor i have seems to have a limit on the C-axis rotation of 10,000, but i cannot find where this value is set.

I have been in to Machine Tool Navigator and checked the C axis limits in there, but that option is turned off. If i turn it on, and set the maximum C limit to (say) 5000, then the psot will recognise this. However, if i set it to a vbalue more than 10,000, then the post still restricts the program to C=10,000.

Does anyone have any idea if there is a variable somewhere else that i am missing? Does NX restrict me to C=10,000.

I am using NX 8.0.2.2.

Many Thanks,

Greg Reid

Check NC Data Definitions and Word, then try setting the fourth_axis Maximum value (or whatever axis you are dealing with) to a number larger than the default 9999.9999

The method I just gave to set rotary is with post builder, not sure of any other way.
