After knowing my structure is going to buckle at a certain point using linear buckling analysis, I proceed to find the postbuckling behaviour. No matter what I do, the analysis fails to continue after the buckling point. I have tried RIKS, STABILIZE, dampers and even increasing the tolerances by *CONTROLS. Does anyone have any suggestion as to what I shall try next?

if you are studying the postbuckling behaviour, you can use fisrt the BUCKLE card to extract the mode shapes and introduce them as imperfection into the Riks analysis. An example for that in the doc is quite clear.
If you go far enough into the post-critical regime and close to a crash or expect discontinuities in shape, Stabilize will do (it's a energy transfer issue).
The examples in the doc are quite clear with respect to these issues.
What's the error message?
