We are building a new home. We would like to have a deck off the second floor without the posts blocking the views from the first floor windows.
Is it possible to build a 6ft or 8ft deck without posts?

Perfectly, you only need to build such cantilever one way or another. You only need to enlist the help of one able architect or structural designer to make this arrangement for you.
